A Friday afternoon special

I’ve just discovered that writing a new blog post on a Friday afternoon is a sure-fire way of sending me hunting for hours all around the WordPress dashboard and Google Analytics. I even got into updating my Gravatar!

I love WordPress. I really do, because there are so many clever bits and pieces to learn if you want to understand how to make best use of your blog or website. If, like me, you’re not a geek, that can take lonnnnnggg time.  I also have WordPress websites and I like (and need) to do most of the housekeeping myself, which means learning as much as I’m capable of.

A clock at 4.00

It's aaalmost 5.00 isn't it?

I spent plenty of time this afternoon on a discovery trip round my site.

Have I learnt anything? Hmmm.. not sure.

Have I improved my site? Hmm.. even less sure!

Have I procrastinated well?   YEAH!!!!!!!

It’s now 4.25 pm and isn’t Friday POETS day? (P… off Early Tomorrow’s Saturday.)

See you next week.

Bye.

Planning Your Procrastination Time.

”It’s best to do all your procrastination now, so that you don’t need to do any later.”

according to my daughter.

Ow! My brain hurts with that one.

Are you one of the procrastinators on this list?

Here’s some great ideas of how to pass a few minutes.

These are from a few friends I’ve been in touch with recently. I’m sure you’ll recognise yourself if you are on this list.

I commend your spontaneity.

  • S.   Did you really need to be calling old girlfriends from 33 years ago, just for a chat at 4.00pm on a Friday?
  • J.   Why were you cleaning the oven at 2.00pm on a Tuesday, or was it Wednesday?
  • J.  I know I asked you to check out this new blog, but did you need to do it right then and there? Or were you being efficient?
  • Me. Yes we really would have been short of milk later. (Well maybe not until the next day. But definitely sometime.)

Now we're talking dirty!

Cleaning that one trumps cleaning the oven any day!

It suddenly seems essential to try out some video.

Just testing how this works. You never know when I might need it
